Our Journey

Having a 20 year history running a non-for-profit community daycare service, Debra wanted to bring that environment to Poppy Patch. Their emphasis on parent involvement and community engagement is a strong point of difference in today's market.

We create a welcoming space where children feel comfortable expressing themselves, building friendships, and discovering new ideas every day.

Our Philosophy

Reliable

At Poppy Patch Early Learning, we believe every child has the right to be heard, respected, included, and provided with opportunities to learn and flourish in an environment where they feel safe, valued, connected, and empowered.

Explore

We encourage children to explore their world through curiosity, inquiry, play, and meaningful hands-on experiences. We recognise play as the foundation of learning and provide rich indoor and outdoor environments that inspire discovery, creativity, problem-solving, and a lifelong love of learning. We value children's voices, ideas, and interests, using these to guide and extend learning opportunities.

Grow

We nurture each child's development while fostering resilience, wellbeing, confidence, and self-belief. We recognise children as capable and competent learners and support them to take appropriate risks, make choices, develop independence, and build positive relationships with others and the natural world.

Thrive

We create a strong sense of belonging where children feel respected, included, and connected. Through responsive relationships and play-based learning, children develop confidence, agency, independence, and a love of learning.
